    Did you get your new hardware working? If it's just a single node, the easiest way is to back up all VM's, install the OS on your new SSD, then restore each VM from your backup.

    Depends on the OP's situation. More and more ISP's are going to CGNAT with really limits the ability to easily host a VPN into the home network. I hate it. Tailscale is probably the easiest way to do it safely. Otherwise, I would completely agree, wireguard or OpenVPN is the way to go.

    You're not wrong. As mature as Proxmox is, there really is no reason there cant be a function to enter email server credentials in the UI for notifications. Most open source big boys have this basic feature (pfSense, OPNsense, TrueNAS, OpenMediaVault; even cheap IPMI firmware has it built...
