I have a Proxmox host V1.9 with 5 x KVM's and 2 x OpenVz VM's.
I want to upgrade the host to V3.0 and was going to do the following:-
- Backup each VM using vzdump (tgz)
- Clean ISO install V3.0
- Restore each vm
With such a large jump between Proxmox versions, is there any problem with this...
I have the same issue where freenas console shows arp move messages for 192.168.100.42 swapping between 3 different MAC addresses.
The 3 MAC addresses are the 3 NICS on my Proxmox 2.1 host machine.
eth0=192.168.100.42=vmbr0
eth1=192.168.100.53=vmbr1
eth2=192.168.100.54=vmbr2
I am not using...
I would like to see a change in vzdump naming too. I am currently renaming the files on my NFS storage so rsync to another NFS (for 2nd backup) doesn't send the whole file every time. For maxfiles feature, possibly naming such as vzdump-openvz-101-1 then vzdump-openvz-101-2 etc could work if...
I have been away for a while but started mucking around with this problem today.
I found that the root login profile ".bash_profile" runs the "/usr/local/sbin/status" file.
I just renamed "status" to "status1" and I'm able to get the prompt (with a command not found error).
All it means is you...
Hi,
I have been moving guests (both OpenVZ & KVM) to a new Proxmox VE Host.
Old host was V1.8, new host is V1.9.
I have a problem with one OpenVZ container (piaf). I can do vzrestore and start it ok and the applications inside the guest work.
The problem is that I cannot SSH (or console VNC)...
Thanks Unicron
I think I might move my important guests to the new server (as is) while I wait for V2.0.
I will concentrate on a good method for backups with off-site sync for now.
Regards, Greg
Thanks Tom.
I am quite keen to get my guests onto the new server ASAP because it's much better hardware.
I wasn't sure how long until V2.0 is released and was trying to come up with something in the meantime.
Maybe I should wait for V2.0. Is it on track to be released soon?
Regards, Greg.
Hi, thanks for proxmox ve, great product.
Seen info on this but across multiple threads.
Installed V1.9 - Adaptec 5405Z with 4 x 2TB SATA drives.
Created 3.8TB RAID 10 array. Then discovered the 2TB limit.
Would prefer 1 large array but for now I deleted it and created 2 x RAID 10 arrays:
