[SOLVED] Troubleshooting: 10GbE NIC (Configuration Issues )

Thanks all for your support. The issue was clearly due to the IOMMU group. I got excited for a moment when I saw both 10G ports listed on the network page, only to realize that TrueNas was already down. There simply isn't any way to resolve this conflict (without the processor supporting the ACS...

[SOLVED] Troubleshooting: 10GbE NIC (Configuration Issues )

Yes, it does, if I pass it through as pcie device. However, even after updating the ip configuration, there was no up link. Hence reverted it to original state and started setting up on the pve. I do suspect it's the issue with the passthrough as it is in the same group as the sas controller...

Stopped: Start failed: QEMU exited with code 1 [Win 10 - Wi-Fi PCIe adapter passthrough]

Thank you, Stefan. This is a great explanation. I will try using another slot to see if it makes any difference. Also, I just read somewhere that a processor with ACS feature would automatically put each device in a separate group - clearly, my processor doesn't seem to have that capability...

Stopped: Start failed: QEMU exited with code 1 [Win 10 - Wi-Fi PCIe adapter passthrough]

Thanks, Stefan. I am able to follow you now :-). I don't have access to the system now, but based on your response, it looks like I have not assigned or manually configured the mapping. You are right - the hostpci 02 or SAS Controller is dedicated to another VM running NAS. I followed the guide...

Stopped: Start failed: QEMU exited with code 1 [Win 10 - Wi-Fi PCIe adapter passthrough]

Hello, I recently added a Wi-Fi adapter (Asus PCE-AC68) to my system. I first installed the drivers on Windows 10 VM and then added the "PCI Device" from "Hardware" settings. The adapter shows up when I run the lscpci 01:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Limited BCM4360 802.11ac Wireless...
