syslog filling up drive
i am not to sure what is the cause of this, but i am getting big log files that is filling up the local drive. I would get the error 500 drive is full error when trying to look at any of the vm's that are running. What i have found is that i am getting something like 45GB for system logs and...- crash987

passthrough an internal SATA DVD under PVE7
i have 2 disk drives (DVD burner and BD burner) that i would like to passthrough to 2 different vms. I am finding a lot of info on how to do it under 4.* and 5.* but nothing for 6.* or 7.0. Would following the same steps to pass a HDD to a vm work the same with a DVD drive? Thanks- crash987

so last night i fired up my threadripper system and installed proxmox on a free hdd, to my surprise the system is working. it would be interesting to find out why proxmox can't be installed in a virtual test environment first- crash987

from my understanding is that vmbr0: is the passthrough ethernet controller and the vm network drive. i have removed the vm network drive so the only network device that is on the system is the passthrough ethernet device. there is no VM setup within proxmox as all i can do is install proxmox...- crash987
