Make sure you can see your iGPU in it's own group:

I did spin up a fresh ubuntu minimal image (by Full cloning).. Then I installed:
sudo apt install linux-generic
sudo apt install inxi
sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-intel mesa-utils
It automatically installed in the wrong location some reason. If this image...
it was already installed:
sudo apt install linux-modules-extra-5.15.0-100-generic

You were absolutely right. I installed the apt install linux-generic
and I can see the following:
sudo find / -name *i915*
/usr/lib/modules/5.15.0-100-generic/kernel/drivers/gpu/drm/i915
/usr/lib/modules/5.15.0-100-generic/kernel/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915.ko...

Sorry but how do I load the the driver module into the kernel? is that in the VM or on Proxmox host?
both my proxmox host and VM shows nothing:
modprobe i915
there is no output of the following command within VM as well:
dmesg | grep i915
but on proxmox host I see this:
dmesg | grep i915
[...
After giving up on this previously, I just tried doing it again. Here is the IOMMU groups:

The output of the above command is:

My SATA controller is in it's own IOMMU group, Currently there are 2 SSD's connected on the board (HP Elitedesk 800 G5).

I had to reboot the node and now I can see the disks. Here is the output:

YES! This has solved the issue. qm set 1002 -scsi2 /dev/disk/by-id/ata-SSD_4TB_008,serial=myserial01
I can't see the Disks in the Proxmox host when they are passthrough to the VM. So need to lookup how to enable SMARTCTL for those.
