Same problem here.
At the moment we have a mixed cluster. 4 nodes proxmox 5.1 and 3 nodes proxmox 4.4.
The error is only reported in syslog on the proxmox 5.1 machines and the reported vm id's are all stopped vm's which are on the proxmox 4.4 nodes.

Yes, I upgraded ceph Jewel to Luminous in Proxmox 4.4 using the ceph.com repository.
Than I upgraded from proxmox 4.4 to 5. I deleted the ceph.com repository and added the proxmox one.
Hi,
I successfully updated from proxmox 4.4 to version 5.1.
All is up and running. One thing a mention is, that pve-qemu-kvm is still version 2.9.0-5~pve4.
There is a new version 2.9.1-2 in repo, but its impossible to update to this new version because of dependency conflicts:
apt install...
Hi,
its more a feature request than a question.
Is it possible to implement an archive function to proxmox.
At the moment we backup a VM, move the backup to another folder and than delete the VM.
Perhaps there is a better way?

Hi,
I want to preinstall third party .deb packages to DAB. For example the
http://ppa.launchpad.net/webupd8team/java/ubuntu for oracle java 8.
I tried to add the source to the Makefile. But this did not work. I think there was an error because of the missing public pgp key for the sources...
Sorry, I can not solve your problem. Only one hint:
Hope you enlarge or manually set a over provisioning for your SSDs. Otherwise they will be very slow in a short time. The Dell Raid Controller blocks all ssd flush commands from the host system. So there is no "real" delete on your disks...
You need the 3.10 kernel.
The vm harddisk type has to be SCSI and under vm options you have to change the SCSI Controller Type to VIRTIO.
You can check trim support first on the host and than inside the vm with fstrim -v /
This setup works for me.

Hello,
we have a Proxmox Cluster with 4 nodes.
When we installed the nodes we did not know, that it is not possible to specify the migration network interface.
So at the moment all "migration traffic" uses the private network.
Setup:
proxmox0 (192.168.0.50), proxmox1 (192.168.0.51), ....
eth0...
Hi,
I need some help for the decision what caching option is the best for us.
Very important is, that data loose is not possible.
After read https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Performance_Tweaks
the most secure way is to use cache=writethrough. Isn't it?
Our setup is:
LSI 9211-i8 in IT mode (no...
Hi Tom,
thank you for your performance tests.
One question. I think using VM's with writeback disk cache in production systems is not a good decision.
Please can you change to cache=none and post the CrystalDiskMark results again.
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Oer
Thank you for ceph in proxmox.
I saw the wiki page http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Ceph_Server.
Is it possible to post some performance data of this 3 node cluster?
max. I/O in a vm, seq. r/w, random r/w...
Thanks you.

Oer
