VM cannot be stopped

We use Proxmox VE 1.7 One openvz Container (Ubuntu 10.04) ist not responding, but consuming 100% CPU on one core. It is neither possible to stop or enter the VM nor to kill the (postrgres) processes causing the high system load. How can I stop the VM or kill the processes without rebooting...
