Can't install virtio scsi or viriostor drivers on Server 2016 guest

2 different VMs, both Server 2016. I downloaded the virtio-win-0.1.141 iso and mounted via CD drive, added a small scsi virtio drive. Windows recognizes the drive as a qemu scsi disk but it is using a driver from Microsoft from 2006. I tried both scsi virtio and virtio block w/ the different...
