    Disk throttling effects backup speed

I noticed that throttling a vm's disk it also reduces its backup speed. I played with different limits and i confirmed it. Is this behaviour expected? I believe disk throttling shouldn't effect backup speed. Backups happen while kvm running.

    [SOLVED] Downgrade pve-manager

Ok so the procedure was like we could do in any other debian package. It worked! I will leave cluster for an hour or two and check stability. Should i be alerted for this too? proxmox-ve-2.6.32: 3.4-159 (running kernel: 2.6.32-40-pve) ---> proxmox-ve-2.6.32: 3.4-160 (running kernel...

    [SOLVED] Downgrade pve-manager

I am in the process of upgrading-rebooting my 5 cluster nodes. Unfortunately during upgrading one of them (4th in row), pve-subscription repo errored and it used pve-no-subscription one. I had forgot to comment it. The result is that it has some newer packages and after rebooting this faulty...

    Cheap Cloud iSCSI/NFS Service Provider?

I am pretty sure you can find a physical server with more than 2TB disk and configure an NFS share or ISCSI LUN on it. I suggest this share being in the same network, otherwise high latency will kill your io performance. What is your use case? Share some more info

Eth rate limit -> unstable bandwidth

I found that using rate limit at ethernet devices causes bandwidth to be unstable. Here is a iperf example of a vm with no limits. The iperf server has a 1Gbit limit and the result is expected [root@localhost ~]# iperf -c x.x.x.x -t 60 -i 1...
