if you use Windows authentication you can set all your password policies through that... i assume its the same if you use a linux/unix based authentication?

It looks like you have the bus and ports the wrong way round? http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/USB_physical_port_mapping does this work: usb0: host=2-1 BTW are they USB ASIC Block Erupters? ;)

Have you got any CPU management settings switched on in BIOS?
