I've heard good things about archlinux... recently in Ubuntu and Debian there were a lot of discussions regarding Oracle licensing and bugs . I am not an expert on the changes that occurred because of that, but suspect that a change in the java plugin has something to do with the problem...

which versions do you have? mine are: sun-java6-bin 6.26-2lucid1 sun-java6-plugin 6.26-2lucid1 firefox 9.0.1+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 google-chrome-stable 16.0.912.63-r113337 and the only way for me to reliably get at a kvm console is to use tigervnc.

which operating system is the vz using? we also had to change my.cnf on recent ubuntu releases. but have not had a problem with systems based on debian templates

probably a bug. I know it will be fixed . in the mean time we use the backup mode that works . no backups = not a good word. we have been using suspend or stop mode for 6 days on 4 nodes with out a problem. and use rsnapshot , with each node having a copy of the backups from every other...

we've had similar issues in linux. the devs recommend using tigervnc . I could explain how to use it in linux, but not windows .

try stop or suspend mode

I have similar issues with vz networking, but have not isolated why . it is something I need to look into later.. some of our vz's do not work the 1-st start after host boot. restarting the vz makes them work here.

1- try setting this in /etc/vzdump.conf size: 4000 2- if that does not work try using stop mode . check other posts in this forum, and check bugs reports at https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/
