I personally don't have swap enabled at the moment. That said, if I had to go down the path of setting up swap, I would be setting up a swapfile. Since proxmox just runs on top of debian you should be able to do this fairly easily. I might try it out myself sometime.

Update - out of curiosity it looks like you can't disable HPET on modern HP business grade hardware, so there's that. Will the workarounds in this thread potentially interfere with fixes in the future? Also, has anyone tried Windows 10 1809 yet?
