What a useless comment! There was a new ISO released on the 14th August. I want to know if this fix is included in the new ISO, and if I should bother to download it and upgrade, or wait longer.

Hi, I am considering adding some NVME devices to a new installation of Proxmox, but cannot really see on the forums which devices are compatible, or even which are incompatible. Does anyone know where I can find a list of compatible and working NVME's? I want to use an NVME as ZFS or even LVM...

Is this fixed in the 5.0-5ab26bc-5 ISO?

You need three nodes for the quorum to work properly, if you want HA. IF not, a 2 node cluster could probably work if you don't mind moving VM's manually after a host node fails.

So, to elivate this problem of PVE constantly writing, and killing SSD drives, would one move /etc/pve and /var/lib/pve-cluster to a SATA drive?

I use Win32DisckImager to write the ISO to USB stick and the installation works just fine.

Ok, maybe I'm missing something, but why split the Mailserver into 2x KVM guests? It sounds like some unnecessary overhead.

Thanx for the tips. The current mail server runs postfix + clamav + spamassasin + custom scripts, and it will be kept this way since the sysadmins know how to manage this setup already. The current MSSQL Servers run on Windows2010, will probably be upgraded to Windows2012 or 2016.

Do you have any usage experience with GlusterFS on ZFS?

Thanx for the response. Why would you not run CEPH on top of ZFS? Another option I have considered, due to the limited hard drive bays, is to use LVM instead, and then use CEPH or GlusterFS on top of it.

So, if you use SSD drives on ZFS as the entire data store, would you still use a SSD for L2ARC and ZIL as well?
