IMHO if we can make this work it could have a very large impact on adoption of PBS, since the client can be used on any linux amd64 host (like advertised in the docs).

thanks Thomas for the reply. The final PBS CLI client is a single binary built from rust, or it has a lot runtime dependencies? From the official PBS doc: so I expect it's not intended to work only on debian 10 / ubuntu 20.04 and later.
