You asked about monitoring the VMs themselves.

Proxmox installer is a piece of sh***

I've never had issues installing on my home lab, on several boxes... So it really isn't a fact but rather an opinion...

Proxmox installer is a piece of sh***

No tweaks. Because everything was installed over the network using the ISO and ipmi software. My latest build was just a month ago. Not one issue

Proxmox installer is a piece of sh***

But. But. It has to be the installer's fault! "I've been running Linux since 1999, so its not my shitty hardware or knowledge "

Proxmox installer is a piece of sh***

Well, you come here complaining and calling the product shit, but yet I have never seen these issues you are ranting about. What fucking level of detail do you think I should provide? The shit has always worked fine for me. I have configured several Dell R710's and a couple of home built...

    Plex Media

While I don't see the value really, considering how EASY it is to install and configure PLEX, transcoding in a VM is perfectly sane and fine. I ran my Plex MS in a VM for the last 2 years.

How to add an node in a cluster?

What exactly are you going to cluster if you only have one server? This isn't a Linux thing, it's a server thing. You can't cluster any OS with a single server....the entire meaning behind cluster is to utilize more than one computer to perform a task....

How to assign an IP to new KVM Linux machine?

I told you what to do. Call your ISP and don't tell them its a virtual machine. Ask for a gateway.

How to assign an IP to new KVM Linux machine?

I already told you. It has nothing to do with being a vps. But whatever, I'm done here. You don't want to take the advice given and you think the vps is somehow different from a regular computer on a network.

How to assign an IP to new KVM Linux machine?

I don't understand why they would tell you it has to route to your host. An IP is an IP. It needs a gateway to get to the internet. Contact them and say "How do I assign this static IP to be able to use the internet?" Do not mention that it is a VM. That makes no difference.

How to assign an IP to new KVM Linux machine?

So you only have ONE public IP address?

How to assign an IP to new KVM Linux machine?

Of course it needs a gateway. It has no route to the internet without it. Set the gateway to be the same as the gateway used in host?
