I use proper server setups with ipmi and have never had issues installing on the 6 different machines I have setup. First try they just worked.

While I don't see the value really, considering how EASY it is to install and configure PLEX, transcoding in a VM is perfectly sane and fine. I ran my Plex MS in a VM for the last 2 years.

How do you have proxmox running on a centos box?

Is there some reason you expected yum to work at all? This isn't red hat/centos/fedora....

you should probably give a little more info than that. what are you trying to accomplish? what remote desktop are you talking about? Windows? how is your ProxMox configured? What is your networking setup?

Don't use zfs on an iscsi volume. Just use LVM

You have to now configure the iscsi device as if it were a physical hard drive.... Create a partition, etc.

What exactly are you going to cluster if you only have one server? This isn't a Linux thing, it's a server thing. You can't cluster any OS with a single server....the entire meaning behind cluster is to utilize more than one computer to perform a task....

I already told you. It has nothing to do with being a vps. But whatever, I'm done here. You don't want to take the advice given and you think the vps is somehow different from a regular computer on a network.

I don't understand why they would tell you it has to route to your host. An IP is an IP. It needs a gateway to get to the internet. Contact them and say "How do I assign this static IP to be able to use the internet?" Do not mention that it is a VM. That makes no difference.

So you only have ONE public IP address?

Of course it needs a gateway. It has no route to the internet without it. Set the gateway to be the same as the gateway used in host?
