Permissions to manage Pool and create CTs and VMs

Hi, it looks like you’ve set up the permissions correctly, but I have a few suggestions to simplify and improve your configuration. 1. Is there a simpler way? Yes, instead of assigning roles to an individual user, you could create a group (e.g., power-admins), assign the necessary roles to...

Adding SMB Share (TrueNas SMB share to Proxmox)

In pfense there is an option to disable the whole PacketFilter (PF). Try this, so you get a proof if it is a firewall issue or not...

High VM-EXIT and Host CPU usage on idle with Windows Server 2025

So your problem is? Windows Task-Manager shows 0% and PVE shows around 3%? Well consider that PVE includes Network and Disk-Usage in the CPU-Usage-Monitor. Also there is some overhead to keep a VM running. So from my side this looks expected.... Also counting on Windows-Task-Manager for CPU-Load...

    Live Migration

You should not try to see problems, where are no problems. PVE-Migration is Datacenter and Enterprise-proven for years now. We do this daily multiples times with SQL-Servers, Mail-Servers and dozens of other systems. There was never any "problem". Stable Network and Storage is a requirement...

    Disk performance doubts

Hello, It’s not unusual that your old RAID controller shows much higher throughput, since its cache memory heavily influences benchmark results. Many hardware RAID controllers “enhance” performance figures by writing to their built-in cache first, which can significantly boost sequential...

    Live Migration

Yes, it is a Live-Migration. It takes its time if you migrate between stores, but it is synched and there is no "delta" when the final switch occurs.

    Live Migration

    PVE Host reboot, weil ?

    PVE Host reboot, weil ?

Du hast also nur "einen" Ring für den Cluster?.... wenn da also was "hickst" dann kann er nicht auf einen 2ten wechseln..... Das würde ich dringend empfehlen.

    PVE Host reboot, weil ?
