So, the problem is the USB watchdog like mentioned in this thread:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1634737
Is there any chance to fix this issue?
Hi there,
is it possible that it's connected to this issue I mentioned?:
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/proxmox-kernel-usb-issue-device-disconnect-frame-counter-not-updating-disabled.38074/
Hi there,
since my upgrade to debian stretch i get the following issue with a usb smartcard reader:
Nov 13 21:13:32 proxmox kernel: ohci-pci 0000:00:13.0: frame counter not updating; disabled
Nov 13 21:13:32 proxmox kernel: ohci-pci 0000:00:13.0: HC died; cleaning up
Nov 13 21:13:32 proxmox...
Performance is nearly like running a physical machine.
The only thing I can do for you is to post my config:
bios: ovmf
cores: 2
cpu: Haswell-noTSX
hostpci0: 01:00,x-vga=on
numa: 0
ostype: win8
Nothing more in the quest config that is relevant for...
But why not using one box with all hardware in it? I don't see the benefit of your way? You will have a lot more power usage, issues regarding power up and down your stand alone jbod box, etc.
Again, I have a similar setup (all in one box) with a 16bay box and it works perfectly. There are only...
Ok, what I understood:
You wanted to put your x11ssh-ln4f into the case, but you have cooling issues because of your noctua cooler
I say:
Put your x11ssh-ln4f (with a hba-controller card to connect the backplane) in and use the original cooling equipment
:)
Or what it is the point I don't get?
Don't do it in this way. Get the original cooling set (air shroud, original cooler).
Should look like this:
Heatsink:
http://store.supermicro.com/heatsink/1u-passive-cpu-cooler-snk-p0046p.html
Air-shroud:
http://www.avadirect.com/CSE-PT0123-Air-Shroud-for-4U-SC743-Series-Case/Product/2216084...
exactly.
But for my private needs it isn't necessary to run the host on a RAID. A single SSD is fast enough to handle 6 VMs (3x win: Win7 "banking", Win 8.1 Steam streaming server, win7 testing; 3x linux: plex, OMV, pyload) in parallel.
For clarification... Not supported in proxmox, but the use case will be in a OMV VM. So proxmox shouldn't care about it.
That's exactly how I use it for 2 years till now with approx. 40 TB (raid6 over 12 4tb Drives)
