Would it work if I install Debian Weezy + xfce + virt-viewer (from SID) and then install pve as explained in
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Wheezy ?

Hi, I've followed wiki http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Developer_Workstations_with_Proxmox_VE_and_X11
and installed Proxmox and XFCE without problem.
Due to the screen resolution, I wanted to install vir-viewer to use spice protocol, and so obtain better resolutions (I would need 1200x600)...
Hi, I have repeated same test as you propose and it works without problem.
I'm using pve 3.2.4 and glusterfs version of pve repositories:
root@servidor169:~# dpkg -l | grep gluster
ii glusterfs-client 3.4.2-1 amd64 clustered file-system (client...
If you use glusterfs, you can/must use the Proxmox glusterfs type to mount it:
DataCenter > Storage > Add > glusterfs .
It is already included in Proxmox !!
Also Proxmox has in its repository the last version of glusterfs-server, (it is not in current Debian repositories) so you can be...
Hi, I have a similar config as yours:4 pve servers, 2 of them are running glusterfs server.
Have a look at this post http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/18252-KVM-disk-corruption-on-glusterfs?p=93160#post93160
Where you can find two little utilities I use to see the status of glusterfs system...
Hi Jinjer,
Not sure what is happening to you, but only corruptions that I´ve had, have occurred when I was starting with gluster and I was very 'nervious'.
Rebooting a gluster node in no way should be a problem, I do it every week, just to test.
May be it can be a problem if you do not...
Sorry, but I do not use containers, and do not know if that is correct (I think no) ...
You can virtualized OVM under KMV:
--OMV system disk as a virtual disk under pve (8-10 GB)
---You CAN bind a physical disk to the virtual machine for data disks (see posts on above link).
---or you can use...
Hi, not sure about what are you trying to do, or what are the benefits of using that custom install on Debian, but:
Your 'missing' dependencies are not related to pve kernel, are related to the Debian container that you have used for the installation.
If you need to use Debian method I...
If you mount gluster share as local, you will miss the feature of Proxmox to been able to use directly a Gluster File System. I.E. it will be more or less as if you mount an NFS share , and Proxmox implementation of Gluster is (should be) more efficient !!!
This is what I understand, please...
I have a similar config as home-server:
2 x SSD RAID1 for Proxmox Stor1 (local)
3 x 2TB RAID 5 mounted as LVM Stor2 (LVM)
Mi OMV VM has two disks:
-Primary disk (just 8GB) on Stor1 (local)
-Data disk is alllocated in Stor 2
--I started defining this disk as 1TB , and progresible...
Same problem here with spanish keyboard.
My 'workaround' for windows is to use OnScreenKeyboard (osk.exe) to type any special key I need.
Unfortunately not found a workaround for linux console (Tab, Pipe '|', .... )

Hi, thanks for all the info seen in this post, and sorry for re-using it, but may be it can help any other ...
Ive bougth a pair of 10Gb cards, and tested them in a 'pointo to point' method. It worked but was of no much real use.
Now I'w looking for a cheap (used) switch, and four more...
