Hi e100 Some comments: a) To continuation i write a copy of a answer from Dietmar for me: "Each created resource has the size you specify for the virtual disk - that is how it already works." b) I don't have practice with PVE 4.x, nor with DRBD 9.x c) Soon i will need install some PVE nodes...

Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

Hi nicorac. Maybe the problem of kernel panic is due to that "LVM thin provisioning" isn't stable (if is that you are using it), but i am not sure about of this. Have you tested "LVM2" instead of "LVM thin provisioning"? "LVM2" has many years and is very mature (in contrast to "LVM thin...

Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

Recently i have read that with drbdmanage will be possible to do grow a DRBD resource when the developers finish the code, and only in a role secondary, although at the moment the option is enabled but not working (read in a forum with date of dec/2015), then, i don't know if now really works...

Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

With my practices in DRBD 8.x, it is possible when all LVs (logical volumes) are unmounted, always that LVM be in top of DRBD. But, i believe using the PVE GUI for create a DRBD resource, "DRBD will be in top of LVM", that if it is correct ( according to the DRBD9 Proxmox Wiki introduction...

Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

Oh, Ok, thanks, i believe that this will be good for my strategy. Then, will be the DRBD resource the same size that the volume that will be used for the virtual disk?, if correct, when i resize the virtual disk by the PVE GUI, also will be changed the size of the DRBD resource, right? (and all...

e100, first of all, it is a pleasure to greet you, after all this time. Server Motherboard compatibility - SUPERMICRO MBD-X10SLH-F-O uATX

I know that ZFS is a vampire consuming RAM, but if your kernel support the fake RAID, the advantage that you will gain is that will have much free RAM. Moreover, ZFS is fantastic and super sure of using (because he does several verifications and repairs in hot).

Oh, that's good :-) .... that it is as Veeam Backup works. Please, let me to do some questions about it: 1) Is the agent as a stable version for use in production environment? 2) In what Windows systems versions works the agent? (i guess that since win-2k) 3) If the agent is not installed, i...

    3.4 Ceph snapshots hangs VM

But you should know that use "writeback" is dangerous if you have critical information, because the write cache is in the RAM, and this setup not write the data in the HDDs immediately (or in the RAID controller), so if you does a hard reset, or something similar, is sure that you will get a...

If you can put the Switches in "stack" mode, you will have high availability in the Switches, and the PVE nodes with two NICs, each one connected to each Switch in LACP mode.
