I'm wondering if any body else is having issues. I have stopped receiving notifications from PVE. Either through Outlook or Gmail accounts.
Could this have to do with their emails becoming more secure? Or perhaps this is an internal issue?
I would appreciate help.
I think the latest email I...
The USB drive in particular is being passed through to a Proxmox Backup Server VM, another drive, possible /dev/sdf would be another drive I have which is passed through to a Windows Server VM. I'm guessing when they are claimed by a VM or Container that they don't show up in the primary PVE OS...

I think /dev/sde is most likely an external USB drive.
On the Proxmox there was a PBS installed on a VM with USB pass through for backups.
The Proxmox was being backed up to the PBS locally onsite, and then synced to a remote offsite nightly.
I've done a journalctl and...
One thing I'm wondering also is it could be a loop where I had setup the Proxmox server as a NUT-Client from a Synology NAS UPS server on the same network. It was running for a few days, but maybe there was an error and it was constantly being sent a shutdown signal?
Is that possible?
It shut...
Thank you @datschlatscher
I'm ussing SSDs, dual Raidz.
I have a pair of 240GB SSDs in Mirror configuration for the Proxmox install and then another two 960 GB SSDs for the zpool storage of VMs.
Both sets of hard drives or enterprise Intel SSDS.
Here is the output of one.

There is a report of [sde] Synchronize Cache(10) failed: Result: hostbyte=DID_ERROR driverbyte=DRIVER_OK
and then the stopping of all services and the shutdown process begins.
Curious as to which rsync options you'd recommend?
Right now, I have a local PBS server that gets synced to a remote PBS server with an external drive. For safety measures I have been running a
/usr/bin/rsync -aHxPz --delete-after in the crontab to back it up to a Synology nfs server. I guess...
I think I solved my own issue. There was time where something didn't mount correctly. I mounted an NFS as well to backup the contents of my external hard drive to rsync things over as an added backup. When it failed, it filled up.
So I edited it out in the fstab, rebooted, deleted the contents...

A few days ago, my Proxmox Backup Server filled up in the root folder. I managed to delete some large log files then and get functional.
Last night during a remote sync it filled up and my job failed.
Could somebody please help me diagnose the issue?
Thanks, This is out of a 100 GB drive.

Okay so now I have added a Powered USB Hub but I'm getting a different error.
In the past. I had two USB ports on the server.
1st USB port was used up by a larger 4TB -2.5" external drive.
2nd USB port was to an unpowered hub with a 2TB -2.5" External Drive and an APC Backups-1500.
The powered...
All these errors are with the original drive with issued. The only different one is the posted with
191 G-Sense_Error_Rate 0x0032 100 100 000 Old_age Always - 3
That is another see we setup which is working well with no issues.
Not 100% sure but I think when syncing from Pbs1 to pbs2 it is pulled with the sync job setup on pbs2 to replicate the contents of pbs1.
If you have your PBS1 syncing with your PBS2, then it should be a reverse setup. Use your local PBS1 to pull from your from your PBS1 after you set it up.
If...

This is the smartctl -a /dev/sdb output of another almost identical drive on another PBS Server with USB passthrough. Same setup.
it shows
