    yes, controller is always present, but not used when disk is sata or ide. edit: Windows can require boot once in Safemode to re-enable native SATA or IDE controller.

    it's only cosmetic and expected as NIC is virtual. virtio network speed is bounded to your CPU and can do 50 Gb/s and more if you have fast CPU. btw, bond/LACP do 2x10 Gb/s and not 1x20 Gb/s : you can do 2 x iperf3 @ 10 Gb/s at same time but not 1 x iperf3 @ 20 Gb/s.

    disable hibernation with admin cmd powercfg -h off, which disable Fast Startup too.

    that's your problem, PVE doesn't support wifi over the box, mainly because wifi doesn't support bridge mode for VM. There is a topic to continue with wifi and with "router" mode instead bridge.

    no, you should try split your single cpu into 4 numa nodes in the BIOS, then assign "cpu affinity" manually to each VM with output of numactl -H. edit: btw, 30 Gb/s seems already fast.

    for me, ZFS is too angry and too slow for non Datacenter grade SSD + useless without mirror. in mini pc, I would use the default ext4 (with Lvmthin for VM) then daily backup PBS to external disk.
