Try with a Linux Firewall VM like ipfire.

EFI Boot partition will become a standard FAT32 part, need boot flag. then install grub bootloader with proxmox-boot-tool, it can format then init /dev/sXn grub

(same speed in reverse -R , 10 Gb/s)
host > LXC 45 Gb/s vs host > Windows VM 10 Gb/s (on Laptop i7-6700HQ)
