Sorry, one more thing.
I'm not finding the documentation or thread you mention.
The PMG as Outgoing Smarthost should accept emails from "Internal" servers but should still scan them for viruses and spam and rate limit to be sure that compromised accounts cannot just flood out spam/virus emails.
OK great.
So some questions would be:
- How to "automate" PMG to accept all all emails from all domains/users on our various servers without going into PMG admin and adding every single domain every time?
- Prevent all other email not coming from our servers/IP's to send via the PMG Smarthost?
Hi everyone,
Has anyone successfully setup a Proxmox gateway as a Smarthost (Outgoing SMTP Gateway) for a number of servers to send email through?
For example, multi-domain shared servers send all mail out via Proxmox?
If so, please let me know what you found and what the challenges are.
OK, so I got it working with Plesk.
Plesk Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings
SPF local rules: include:spf.trusted-forwarder.org include:your-proxmox-fqdn-hostname
I started with this below but you can edit as required
SPF guess rules: v=spf1 a/24 mx/24 ptr
Thanks for the reply.
Yes I use Plesk 17.8.11
Do you mean the PMG Ip to be whitelisted under Tools > Mail Server Settings > Whitelist or somewhere else?
I did that but the milter still rejects it
After adding the hostname as a search in /etc/resolve the one WARNING is gone, now only this one

Hi,
I see these warnings in PMG Mail.log

Hi,
I find that the Plesk smtpd_milters in Postfix block emails that go through PMG.
In our setup PMG only scanns some of the domains hosted on Plesk Servers, many other domains do not have PMG scanning and we use the standard Plesk SA and Milter setup.

Hi,
I notice from the logs that many mails are moved to the Spam Quarantine but they are not being displayed using the GUI.
If I go look in /var/spool/pmg/* the messages are there.
What could be causing this and how do I fix it?
Thanks
