I would not recommend HA with just 2 nodes.Try to disable HA to keep things simple.
If drbd is correctly configured in dual primary mode you should not loose infirmation as drbd sync data on both nodes in real time.So something is wrong there.
Also I would recommend using separate network...
hello,
Red icon on cluster nodes usually show cluster communication issue but you must provide contents of syslog for more info.
DRBD status shows that you have connectivity issues between nodes or you have a split brain situation which you must manually resolve using the apropriate drbdadm...
Great! Now that you found the problem why you don't proceed a step further by installing virtio drivers?

I've also tried with both 2.6.x and 3.10 kernel. I managed to have some success with 3.10 which was the only correctly passing vmx to the guest vm (by selecting "cpu host" as vm cpu and "kvm-nested 1" on /etc/modules).
Although I only managed to get only proxmox virtualized as a guest...
hello
I am also using DRBD but in dual primary mode.
Your setup looks a bit strange.Seems that you want to have the benefits of DRBD (real time replication) but using a non clustered filesysten like XFS on top of it. Of course you will answer, that's why I use it in primary/secondary mode, to...
Re: GlusteFS + qcow2 + Live Migration AND GlusterFS question about connection interru
Each one has pros and cons. I would prefer DRBD because it's faster than Gluster and more mature (long time tested). Cons are that it does not scale so well.
It would be better if you follow Glusterfs or DRBD...
You mean by adding this in vm.conf?
args: string
Note: this option is for experts only. It allows you to pass arbitrary arguments to kvm, for example:
args: -no-reboot -no-hpet

HA is heavily dependant on fencing so make sure you test that very well before proceeding to production:
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Fencing
Also as far as I know PDUs are the recommended way to go instead of ipmi.
Each storage system has it's pros and cons.
I didn't say that glusterfs is perfect.I mentioned it as a second option to achieve your goals.
Personally I am using two node drbd cluster for vms (no HA) and a NAS (nfs server) for backups.
I can live migrate vms with drbd (dual primary mode) and put...
of course not...ext4 is not considered a clustered filesystem.
If you do it then your vms will get corrupted since ext4 is not allowed to be mounted from both nodes at the same time.
If you really need qcow2 and it's snapshot capability then try glusterfs instead of drbd.
You can do it only by storing vms directly on lvm volume (without filesystem).
qcow2 and other filebased vm disk formats are not allowed in this setup.
Your backups must be stored on separate storage for example NFS.
To acomplish this configuration follow this guide carefully...
hello
for such config you have two options: drbd or glusterfs in dual replica mode.
This article describes what you need if you follow drbd road: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Two-Node_High_Availability_Cluster
For gluster search thet inet there are several guides.
Try to not use HA in two...
Re: SBS 2003 Only Boots in Safe Mode
For me it worked with default (kvm64 cpu). You can try with other one if you want.
But the different thing for me is that I was not able to boot either in safe mode.So I think your situation maybe is different..
The last thing you can try is what I...
Does it work with other vms?
Did you focus with your mouse on novnc screen prior pressing f8?
The last thing i can think is that MBR is corrupted on this particular vm thats why it does not give you the options.
