Same "problem" this morning, a VM in error state, I've removed it from HA resources and then added it again in order to avoid a useless restart (changing state from error to stopped to started).
Where can I find any clue regarding why it has been stated as "error" ?
Thanks in advance.
It's not how I've understood the "problem":
I installed Promxmox 5.1-38 version. I have 2T hard drive. After installation it has 90G local (PATH /var/lib/vz ) [...] But it's not ok from web. It changes only local-lvm size not local directory, that is still 90G.
For me, he wants to increase the...
As you've not used the "-r" option for lvresize, which resize the volume AND recursively the underlying filesystem, you know need to run resize2fs /dev/mapper/pve-data
Got another VM in "error" this morning and not due to backup lock this time.
Is there a location where to find a clear log about what happened to end with an error state ? Same as last time, VM was up and running without any issue ...
Thanks.
I've just got the same "problem" this morning for a single VM. It was in "error" state but still up and running fine ...
My problem was I've added a backup schedule that was conflicting with the one already in place (same time, different location) and one backup task failed to lock the VM. I...
You should create a RAID0 with the disk you want to boot on using the Raid Manager. Most server types (HP, Fujitsu, ...) are not able to boot directly on single disk attached to their internal RAID controller if the disk is not seen as a RAID device.
Hello,
I'd like to move my CEPH environment from Filestore to Bluestore.
Could you confirm that it is not feasible "online" but I have to destroy and then re-create my OSDs ?
In this case, does it look correct ?
1.- Move disk(s) from RDB to NFS (for instance).
2.- Destroy CEPH pool(s)
3.-...
So this means that all disks are scanned at startup in order to find if some are OSD ? This means that if /dev/sdf becomes /dev/sdg everything will work anyway ?
Sorry Udo ...
Thanks for your answer.
Is there's a conf file somewhere this information is written ? So far I have:
mtab:/dev/sdf1 /var/lib/ceph/osd/ceph-0 xfs rw,noatime,attr2,inode64,noquota 0 0
Which is not in the fstab or any conf file. So I guess it is kind of discovered by a process started as a...
Hello,
I have a 3 nodes PVE (4.4-18) with CEPH storage (10.2) configured.
I have to add a SATA controller and some disks/SSDs on one server.
Is it a problem if active OSDs have a new /dev/sdX during the process ? Or if an OSD located on /dev/sdf will be auto discovered if it is now /dev/sdh...
Hello all,
