The same thing broke for me on my upgrade from PVE 5 to PVE 6. The issue is that there are files like /dev sitting in the mount point that ZFS wants to mount the subvol at, so ZFS complains that it is unable to mount the subvol, and then of course the container cannot start without the disk...
