Hello maxx
Start here : http://www.hweidner.de/redmine/projects/pub/wiki/ProliantMonitoring (SORRY it's in german). But you'll find there at least the links to the right tools. Here's another script : http://www.olafrv.com/?p=588

Good Morning
I'm running several HP Proliant Server (with HP SA P400) with PVE 3 on it w/o any issue . We store all backups to a File Server with LVM. The performance is exactly what we expect on a Gigabit network.
I just have some suggestions, which may help you to get rid of performance...
Myself experienced a similar behavior on this legacy OS. Running balloning and virtio storage driver 0.1.4.9.
Is there maybe a optimal CPU setting in PVE recommended?
Hi Tobias
I'm operating several HP Proliants, therefore I'm using the HP Systems Insight Manager for data gathering and Mail/SMS Notification.
Find here a first starting point : http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/dl_linux.html#linux
I'm running the HP SIM not on linux...
Have you installed acpid in the kvm guest ?
I had a similar problem and by installing acpid in the Centos guest, shutdown or reboot of the proxmox host was possible w/o hanging.
Hello Tobias
I'm running several HP Proliant with PVE2.3 and use the HPSM and all the tiny tools provided by HP.
here's a overview I recently found - well its in german : http://www.hweidner.de/redmine/projects/pub/wiki/ProliantMonitoring
I just added the following resources to my source.list...
No, since I was not aware of this "non standard" behavior. I did it the old fashion way during the setup of PVE 1.8. And upgraded the server continuously to latest Version.
Maybe I missed to read the PVE documentation.
nice friday

I assume you are using FreeNAS. serveral community memebers are facing the same problem. search this forum for the topcis.
The problem is on the FreeNAS site. check as well their forum for possible solutions.
As mentioned in my earlier post, I just use FreeNAS as my Backup Server, not as a Proxmox Storage Pod. Tuning and optimizing the connectivity between FreeNAS and oder Operating System like Windows (CIFS) or Proxmox (NFS) is a long turning activity which need to be done individual (trial &...
I'm using freenas for backup an others. I experienced several network performance issues (nfs, samba). After tuning several options the performance is okay. Check their forum for tuning tips. Freenas is brilliant but not perfect for the use with proxmox.
Hello
I used the following howto,for compiling a working driver : http://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/Installation_des_r8168-Treibers
Maybe it will help you

Good Evening
Thank you for all the investigations. I'm glad to find this topic here.
I'm sitting in front of five DL360 G7 Server, the plan installing proxmox.I
just tested the precompiled module provided by cobradevil on one server. It would be worth to have the this driver version permanent...
uploading ISO File of 4.7 GB failed, even if enough storage is available. this happend after I successfully uploaded a large ISO File of 3.1GB.
The progress bar seams to be confused as well. ;) please refer to the attached pix.
