Hey,
nice work ;)
Do you think, LXC is better suited for hosting environments? LXC lacks on isolation, specifically IO isolation.
OpenVZ is still using an old kernel but have these features.
Any suggestions about that?

Hey,
if your switch supports sFlow, Netflow I recommend FastNetMon. It's an DDoS analyzer and can store metrics in Graphite.

Example of Grafana: https://cloudrouter.org/cloudrouter/2015/07/09/fastnetmon.html

Seems like we fixed it by converting the RAID to 32KB/64KB strip size.
We are getting speeds up to 700 MB/s and over 1k iOPS.
Thanks for your help ;)

Hello,
you can just install Debian Wheezy(Netinstall) and install the proxmox binary packages, as I do.
See: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Wheezy

Hey,
what kernel and pveversions do you use?
Activating the advanced functionality does not solve this problem.
pveversion -v
uname -a
Please also post your /etc/fstab.
cat /etc/fstab
lvdisplay

Hello,
I'm having the same issue as you. You found a solution?

Hey,
take a look at this thread: http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/4309-pve-server-randomly-freezes
I got the exact same issue after updating to 2.6.32-39-pve from 2.6.32-36-pve because of the security issue.
Anyone also got this? It's really bad, because the CPU spikes at 100% for like 10...
Hello,
with Proxmox 4.0 OpenVZ is deprecated and will be completely replaced with LXC. You can not run Debian 8 on an OpenVZ node without
facing any issues.

Hello,
you are wrong. You are getting your maximum speed.
Gbit/s != GB/s
1.5 Gbit/s = 1500 Mbit/s
1500 Mbit/s = 187.5 MB/s
So every disk can write theoretically 187.5 MB/s maximum. Calculated to your let's say "shitty" RAID 10 controller with BBU
266 MB/s is an approximate good result.

Hello,
the problem is, NFS shares can not be unmounted when they are offline. So when accessing that mount point, the console will just hang.
When the NFS share is online and you disable it, Proxmox can unmount the NFS share and all is good.
I would say, this problem is Linux related. With some...
Hello,
I don't really know if it's a Proxmox problem. Please try to boot a Debian live CD or rescue system and mount your filesystem. Then
try to directly test speeds using dd.
It could be, that Proxmox's pveperf util is only running on one CPU core and therefore limited. Not quite sure about...
Hello,
I do not know if you want to upgrade from Debian 7 or want to know, how I made this template.
If you want to upgrade from Debian 7. I don't know if it's possible. You can try to backup your CT and then edit the sources.list to represent the jessie repo and then apt-get...
Hello,
I'm already using Debian 8 on OpenVZ Containers without facing any issues yet.
If you want to, you can test it and report any issues.

Hello,
sure. But please note, that the repository is outdated and you can replace it with the new one without facing issues.
Edit your sources.list to deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian wheezy pve-no-subscription
Then install proxmox as stated in the Documentation.

Hello,
/etc/pve is a shared filesystem, even if you did not configured it. It's how Proxmox shares information(CT/VM configurations) with other nodes.
Seems like pve-cluster is causing this issue. This can have several causes.
If you want to, you can add me on Skype and I can help you there or...
Hello,
as long as multicast is supported by the VPN it would be possible, but it's not recommended/supported by proxmox and me either.
