Well, you can pin the old Kernel and update the rest to keep your perfomance where you expect it to be... even our 8.2.2 PVE does run fine with an very old Kernel....

Disabling KRBD is what we often did in the past. This problem rises nearly everywhere when Proxmox Backup Server is used, KRBD is enabled and you backup Windows VM... so I consider this as a "known" issue....

What has to be done after edit? Reboot nodes? Anything else?
This issue happens often when KRBD is enabled and PBS-Backup-Jobs run towards a fast PBS.
So I believe this is a more "often" issue than most people think and should be filed as "bug"...
Well beside the manual watching or dumping the memory at the right moment, I guess while entering the key, it is displayed with "*" and not seen on screen....
However, if he is a friend... why should he do? Because he can? Then he is no friend....
When you add external drive, it might resort boot-order.... There should be a setting in your BIOS to disable this.... it is for good reason that this happens when you add an USB-Drive which has a boot block.....

Looks good so far... testing on a 3 Node Cluster with 88 VMs and 25 CTs currently..... looks promising... balancing by CPU-Load would be nice, but I saw in GitHub, you are on it....
