For anyone who may be running into the same issue I did, the Ubuntu repositories are running behind and have version 1.6.4 of InfluxDB. Adding the InfluxDB repository let me upgrade to 1.8.1 and resolved the issue. https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v1.8/introduction/install/

I am also having this problem. I tried creating a new database by following these steps: 1. DROP-ing the original database form InfluxDB 2. Changing the port and name in influxdb.conf 3. Changing the port and ID (even though I don't think this needed to change) in status.cfg on the Proxmox host...
