ok having fun now! would it be a good idea to use the raid 6 for my drive images and then back up to the raid 1? do i use these instructions http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Storage_Model#LVM_Groups_with_Local_Backing to convert the raid 6 into a lvm or should i just partition it as ext 4

all the drives are 6x2TB so i opted for a raid 1 for system and raid 6 for data.

ok. i have resized the raid partition to 1.5TB. how do i access the rest of the space?

i am unable to install proxmox onto a raid6. i know that 1.9 does not support large drives and would like to know how to over come this? i have tried partitioning the drive before hand but proxomox does not see the smaller partition.
