Hi Alwin,
wouldn't it make more sense, to first verify the fingerprint and then ask for the password?
I am also playing around with cluster set up and now am a bit "afraid" of e.g. "man in the middle" when first entering (maybe also sending?) my root password and then verify the host?
Or is...
OK did some "reverse engineering" (i.e. downloaded iso, calculated checksum, googled for checksum, found link):

Btw. maybe I am to clumsy, but I could not navigate to this location via the website menus.
Have a nice day

Hi Wolfgang,
I have ~15 Container running and several problems with open file limits. I searched a lot for a proper solution. This thread was one of my findings.
I am not really sure, if I have the right understanding now, but I try to summarize (and hope for your feedback/review) regarding...
Hi there,
I have several ubuntu and debian containers running on proxmox. Is there a best practice on how to keep them up to date? So, some kind of „central management“ instead of logging into the console on every container and do apt-get update / upgrade for each one?
How do you manage your...
After I upgraded to 5.0 the fingerprints are not available any more :-( So I reopened the ticket (https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1253) and hope, that this feature finds his way back to proxmox.

Simon
Hi Fabian,
OK, I think this is a way, I can use it. Thank you :-)
Are there any plans to change this behaviour, so that a privileged user can also extract and does a chown (or whatever) after extraction?
Greets,
Simon
Hi Iteration,
it has been a long time since my post, but I think after an update (proxmox or chrome or both) it worked fo a while and then stopped working for me again
I assume, that it could have something to do with my Norton Chrome Extension, blocking some code. But since I did not have the...
Hi Fabian,
thank you again. I can understand, that the user needs access to the restored file, once it is restored. But I do not understand, why I have to give an unprivileged user rights for a restore process?
That's why I prefer to doublecheck here, before I extend user rights on my NFS...
Hi Fabian,
thank you very much for your reply. Now I edited /etc/vzdump.conf, so that tmpdir points to /var/tmp and I am able to do backups.
But restoring the backup as unprivileged container is nor possible:
extracting archive...
Any news regarding this issue? I have the same problem whenever I
a) try to create an unprivileged container from a template stored on a NFS share (!the template is located on the NFS share!) or
b) run the (proxmox webgui) backup and try to store an unprivileged container on a NFS
Extract from...
Hey iConfueZ,
since you are talking about the web-panel: have you already tried another browser?
I also had (and again have) issues with the web panel. In my case I assume it is Chrome or some Plugin within Chrome causing the problem. So, switching to Firefox helped in may case.
Greets,
Simon
Hi Fabian,
first of all, thanks for your reply. And I think, you are right. But I think it would still be helpful fot the case that one regularly create a lot of containers and/or connect with different clients.
But what do you think about additionaly writing the fingerprint for each key to...
Hi dcsapak,
(how) can I send you a PN, since I do not want to publish the whole thing here.
But a short teaser: in ctrl-shift-i mode when clicking on one of my servers system throws an:
Uncaught DOMException: Blocked a frame with origin "https://xxx.xxx.de:8006" from accessing a cross-origin...
Hi there,
since a few days, I have a problem with chrome (55.0.2883.75 m) using the proxomx gui (4.3-12/6894c9d9) latest updates installed. Firefox (50.0.2) works fine.
Symptom: After selecting a server (in the most left panel), the navigation panel and the main panel disappear. Going back to...
