Which makes me wonder if it is actually related to the quality/grade of the SSDs since various configurations seem to have similar issues. Not saying that they all have the same root cause, but strange nonetheless.
In the end, after much testing and tinkering, unfortunately I could not resolve the issue. I ended up creating mdraids and the server is running very smoothly since then. Interestingly enough, Linus from LTT seems to have had a similar issue with a very similar config but with *enterprise* ssds...
Ich hab's auch mit sync=disabled und diversen cachingeinstellungen bei der VM selbst probiert. Ob ich das ganze auf den EVOs mache oder auf den PM983 spielt keine Rolle (hab's grad nochmal nachgetestet). Die Performanceprobleme bestehen mit beiden Raid1. Das einzige was bis jetzt geringfügig zu...
