I know this is an old topic but just wanted to say thank you very much ! :) This saved me from a whole lot of searching and debugging as to why it only said half duplex.
I guess for proxmox 7 I should better wait instead of trying a sid version? And if I wouldn't want to wait how to install it safely to a proxmox 7 server since it's meant for sid?
As long as you create the cluster from the proxmox already having virtual machines it will work, the second node you want to join however can have no vm's at all.
I think you answered your own question by that last rule in your post ;)
That kernel does not support openvz as they also stated in the post they announced that kernel.
In the end I was able to solve my own problem as I found out the cluster looks for the ip behind the local hostname which was on the first node set to localhost for some reason ( my problem ), and on the second host to the fqdn like it should be.
I now changed it on both nodes to the "local"...
