I thought I had this working but there seems to be some sort of time-out issue on the HN mount. I haven't determined how long it lasts, but several times today I've discovered the mount disappears and I get:
Then I have to unmount and remount.

Woo-hoo! You rock, Tom. I've never heard of bind mounts. And thanks for the link, jeebustrain - easy-peasy.
But can anybody explain why these bind mounts are necessary and why containers don't seem to have access to kernel modules on the hardware node, like CIFS?
