    bonding eth0 eth1 in PVE 2.x

From what I understand it would be like this... 1) bond0 consists of slaves eth0 and eth1 then 2) vmbr0 consists of bond0 done. Am I right? anyone?

Simpler Bond + bridge, with 3 nics

thanks for the help. Greatly appreciated. I haven't yet installed Prox on my new host so I'm trying to know what I'm going to need to do to get my home server back online ASAP. I've only tried running Prox within a Virtualbox so far.

Simpler Bond + bridge, with 3 nics

I guess I'm asking specifically which has to be done first and which must be slaved to which?? I'm guessing.. 1) build bond0 with eth1 and eth2 2) build vmbr0 with bond0 as the slave 3) leave eth0 active and auto as the console interface I need my host to exist anywhere between 192.168.1.2-9...

forum suggestion: organize threads like this..

I have nothing against the search function except weeding through threads is still not as clean/nice as it could be. Also, I find there's 2 distinct levels of users here... those who know LOTS about Debian admin stuff and those who are NEW to it. Giving a specific place for n00bs to find help is...

forum suggestion: organize threads like this..

    The forums are incredibly tough to drill into without search, so I propose the following... ROOT FORUM \_PVE 1\_installation \_how-to threads \_setup \_network \_storage \_clusters & nodes \_configuring \_network \_storage \_cache \_clusters & nodes \_special devices \_working with CTs/OpenVZs...

Simpler Bond + bridge, with 3 nics

Everyone's asking about multiple node bond/bridge/vlan stuff, but I will just have 3 NICS.. 1 NIC on the MOBO (eht0) and 2 on a dual-port PCI-X card (eth1, eth2). What I'd like is all 3 to connect to my single router/switch (neither can do fancy managed switching, so no 802ad stuff). I'm under...

Is it possible to dual boot Proxmox and Windows 7 - each on separate internal drives?

Re: Is it possible to dual boot Proxmox and Windows 7 - each on separate internal dri of course you can, but why would you want to when you have Virtualbox available in Windows? Having a full-on hypervisor dual-booting with a Windows OS is asking for trouble.

    - What's wrong with having a VM as the DHCP? - For mounting drives seperately, would I just add them after install? Anyone have other input?

Will be installing Proxmox soon.. wanna check some config options

So I'll be using Proxmox 2.1 very soon to turn a newly built machine into my one and only Host hypervisor. - 32GB RAM, 6-core CPU, 6x SATA6Gbps + 2x SATA3Gbps, 74GB Raptor OS drive, 7TB of drive space. - add-on dual-port NIC, so 3 Gigabit NICS alltogether, for bonding (without a managed switch)...

    single host, many drives, advice..?

Does anyone else run Proxmox in a single host alone? How's it been? What are you running as VMs? What hardware is it all on?

Looking for advice on a low-cost, low-power home Proxmox box

There are some 6-core and now 8-core AMD CPUs with 95w consumption. 95w is amazing for a 8-core CPU imho. I would also suggest a mobo capable of 32GB of RAM just because it's future-proofing for growth.... you can also never have enough RAM Keeping to a single host box is my plan as well, and...

    single host, many drives, advice..?

Regarding usage, I will be using 1 Linux VM for file server, backups, downloads, and media server. 1 Linux VM for a vortexbox 1 Linux VM for various tinkering & thin desktop usage. 3 Windows Server 2008r2 VMs for learning/study for MCITP Now that I know about hardware needs, I've a question...

    single host, many drives, advice..?

Hello all! Very glad to have found Proxmox, as I was indecisive between XenServer and VMWare for the past little while. Currently, I have a home server that consists of mostly desktop-grade parts. It's running Fedora 14 and (Amahi.org) management software for all its functionality. My...
