Thx, thats what i thougth too. Its a fresh vm, so its better to install this one new with veth as nic, or is it easier too change it anywhere?

Youre right But i went through the lenny 64bit howto step by step. one of the first is [qoute]aptitude install pve-kernel-2.6.32-4-pve I though it is version 1.9. but it seems not so. what have i todo to install latest proxmox an debian squeeze 64bit, or is it still unsupported?

Sorry overlooked your thread. I installed Debian with default disk options, 1part ilnux and one for swap. also no lvm, but is this a need? the ip comes from an dhcp, problem?
