    Those were the files present in my VE when I started modifying it. I saw another post where someone had a similar problem I had at one point during it. They solved having nothing work by deleting everything in the folder and replacing it with files off a physical box.

    Probably because I'm using Cent instead of Debian. 10.1.5.7 is my host's IP address. When I make a Debian 5 VE, there's no interfaces at all (other than loopback).

    I don't know what I'm looking for. Despite pings not responding, I see traffic in there on VLAN2.

    When the VLAN wasn't present, the system was up for several days. I'm not sure what you mean by VLAN mode. A previous post of mine shows the configuration.
