Power savings + nvidia + rabbit hole.

Hi all. I need help, I have gone into a rabbit hole... Let me try to put into words the issue. When I reboot my proxmox host (13900 + z790 + 4060ti + doesn't matter) and manually spin down the spinning rust (9 of them) and let proxmox settle, my watt meter is around 32W give or take. Great...

Opt-in Linux 6.14 Kernel for Proxmox VE 8 available on test & no-subscription

I have no idea why but I have retested this several times now. My cachyos VM with Nvidia 4060TI passthrough crashes on youtube with brave when I use proxmox 6.14 kernel. I'm scratching my head over this one. Nvidia driver is correctly installed on proxmox, VM hook unloads nvidia driver and vfio...

QEMU 9.2 available on pvetest and pve-no-subscription as of now

Please do. Meanwhile, QEMU versions before 9.2 use less host CPU, as reported by others. I can also see the difference by using htop on the host. Since I also micromanage my power consumption, I’ve noticed lower power usage as well..

Passing through any USB device to VM stops C-states leading to high idle power use

My system only goes to C3 because I have a dedicated NVIDIA GPU. I have yet to see any 'normal' VM not make me lose all C-states. By 'normal,' I mean booting up Manjaro, Ubuntu, or Fedora without any kind of passthrough — with or without USB device passthrough. I have two exceptions to the...

Hookscript with 'post-stop' when the VM was shutdown from the VM itself

Oh man, thankfully I'm not crazy. It's the same over here, but unfortunately I cannot pass through the USB controller. Hopefully, Proxmox devs see this thread and can fix this behavior! Thank you.
