Is Pause-to-disk possible ?

When you pause a VM, it keeps using the ram.

But I need to pause a VM because I temporarily need some of that RAM.

So I'd like proxmox to pause-to-disk instead of "pause-to-ram"

Is that possible ?

Isnt that what "Hibernate" does ;-) ?

Must be a new thing in proxmox 9, I'm still on 8

And is that an ACPI command like suspend and shutdown where the guest OS has to have the qemu agent running and the capability to hibernate setup ?

Or is it a proxmox-side of thing that will work with any VM any time ?

Proxmox sided, QEMU dumps the VM's memory to a vmstate volume on your storage and exits, so the guest never knows it happened.

The reason you don't see it there is because that's not a VM that's currently running.
