Wait for new tape when no more available

Hello,
I have a single LTO drive and my backup does not fit on a single tape. I use quaterly alocation policy. The system works, but i have to anoying circumstances and my question is can I avoid them:
1. I would like the tape to be ejected when its full (not after each job) so I see that I have to put the next one in without checking the notifications
2. When I do not have enough tapes preallocated in the inventory. The jobs failes with "TASK ERROR: alloc writable media in pool 'Quarterly' failed: no usable media found" and as far as I see all the data written form the current job is written again, when I restart the job after I add a new tape. This is especially annoying when doing the first full backup which takes several tapes. The tapes are then full but when I restart the job it does it all over. Is it possible that the job just waits until I add another tape?

Is there a solution to these problems (especially point 2 would be nice)

My 'solution' is to over-allocate tapes in the pool, which is not optimal: I create temporary labels that I attach with tape (sticky tape, that is...), so they're easily removed to either replace with permanent stickers (if used) or I take them off and apply another temporary label if it goes to another pool.

An option to pause the backup task to add new tapes to the pool and then continue the backup task would be great.
