ESXi import wizard - import to pool

Hello,

I'm sure I'm missing something here? I have a Proxmox cluster that is shared among a few different groups. I want to allow the groups to import their VMs from an existing ESXi cluster into Proxmox using the ESXi import tool. The existing interface doesn't allow you to specify a pool when importing a VM. The tool seems to only import the VM to the root level of the tree, meaning I have to give permissions at the root level for groups that want to use the tool?

Is this the case? Anyone have any experience with this?

Hi,

sorry, didn't catch it from beginning.
Currently, there is no option to select a target pool during migration.
In Proxmox, a pool is simply a logical grouping of resources, not a container or folder.
You can assign the VM or container to the desired pool after the migration is complete.
