CPU change

Hello everyone,

Today I've encountered a weird issue between my proxmox nodes. I'm running a 3 node cluster, pve, pve2, pve3.

pve has an Intel Core i5-4590, and pve3 runs with i3-4160 CPU. I wanted to swap the CPUs, because pve3 is simply just stronger with more SSDs and HDDs, however, after doing so, pve3 runs into kernel errors.

I'm getting these errors:
Node PVE3 (now with i5-4590):
FAILED - Failed to start systemd-modules-load.service - Load Kernel Modules
FAILED - Failed to start zfs-import@main.service - Import ZFS pool main.
ZFS fails to load, and node status shows degraded.

Node PVE works seamlessly even with the i3 CPU.

However, after swapping the CPUs back to their original place, everything is normal, everything works and loads fine. BIOS is already upgraded to the latest version available on both computers. Any help would be appreciated, as I'm stuck with this annoying issue.

You might try upgrading the Intel CPU micro code in Proxmox in case the they are running an older or different versions.

You might try upgrading the Intel CPU micro code in Proxmox in case the they are running an older or different versions.

Thanks for the reply, I could've tried this. My issue was fixed though, I have disabled VT-d in BIOS and it suddenly started working like normal. Using Impact's solution to pass through GPU to my LXCs.
