Hey guys,
I have created a ZFS pool with an array of multiple HDDs and now would like to make it available as shared media storage for multiple VMs.
I want to avoid overhead and NAS VMs to manage access via SMB / NFS as everything is physically in one machine. I also don't want to worry about provisioning individual space and guests should all be able to use the maximum capacity that's available. VMs itself are running from an individual SSD.
Can you recommend a good approach considering best performance and efficiency?
Is it possible to create a "partition", attach it to multiple VMs / LXCs and simply mount it within the guests file system?
I've tried searching but found no clear answer to my use case.
Is this the correct direction? https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/create-a-large-pool-of-shared-zfs-storage.94435/#post-410862
Any help and thoughts appreciated.
