Hello
I have a fully fonctionnal PBS with a mount through SMB to a Windows Server (iscsi true nas for the storage)
Backup are more than ok.

BUT
I want to copy the backup to an old synology.
What would be the best way to day that ?
(now I'm playing with a mount to the syno and rsync recursive vm and .chunk )

Thanks for help

Please note, this is not a good setup if you expect reasonable performance.

Please use the sync jobs for this [0], otherwise you will run into issues sooner or later, as your rsync will not see a consistent state if you have concurrent actions on the datastore (backup, garbage collection, ...). You could mount your remote storage and create a datastore on it, so you can run a local sync job from one to the other.
Or even better, create a dedicated PBS instance for this.

Thanks Chris
Why the performance should be crippled ?
It works flawlessly (iscsi from ws2025 to truenas is done on my last remaining esxi)
SMB is no go ?

yes I agree with you
I installed on the Synology (923+) a VM with PBS (VGA is the way)
Then syncjob pulled
I have my backup on the synology :)
