Hi , getting some use out of my Ryzen 9 3900x which I've not switch on for a couple of years now, but want to use it for GPU Passthrough.
After a lot of playing and missed steps I've got the GPU working , BUT have a Corsair Commander PRO fan controller + a H150i Platinum water cooler .
Which I tried passing the usb devices or with the full usb controller , but could not get it working , so I removed the GPU Passthrough and it worked .
So I can have GPU Passthrough and USB Corsair's on different VMs , but not on the same machine .

any ideas ?

I'm trying to cut the wattage of this machine , by using powersaver mode , cutting off the lights and fan off when not needed , who would guess that 6 fans which 8 led each ? would use over 40 watts ( Christmas tree mode )

Did you ever get this working? I'm trying to do similar with USB passthrough of a Corsair Commander XT for fan speed control. I see the device under 'lsusb' and I've assigned it via cli or gui but my Windows VM doesn't appear to show the device in Device Manager and it doesn't populate within Corsair iCue.

it was a long time ago , but I do know that the USB passthrough of a Corsair Commander XT doesn't work if you are using RDC you need to use noVNC or direct GPU.

That's interesting, I wonder why it works that way. Using noVNC, Commander Core XT shows up in iCue along with the temperature probes but my fans aren't showing up under 'Cooling' so I'm not currently able to set a custom fan curve as I had hoped. I'm using Noctua fans but when I tested this on my regular desktop, the fans finally showed up after disconnecting then and reconnecting. No such luck this time. Have you ever experienced this?

*Edit...
Scratch that, after forcing a Commander Core XT firmware update, now the fans showed up.

I'm blanking out, what do you mean by connecting direct GPU?
