proxmox nat mode

1. this page does not include the string "nat mode" http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Network_Model . is "nat mode" synonymous with "masquerading nat"?

2. does that imply you must setup iptables for nat mode to work?

3. I have a proxmox server using eth1 as it's interface, rather than eth0. I set one vm to use "nat mode" . It doesn't pick up a dhcp address, and it can't ping the internet, and I am not sure where to look in order to debug it. any advise for troubleshooting? would something unusual have to be done to use eth1 instead of eth0.

If a linux bridge isn't created, will proxmox have one to use by default? Also, if you have multiple linux bridges, how will proxmox decide which one to nat it to? As of v4.4 there isn't an option to select which bridge to use; it just has an "enable NAT mode" radio button to select[/QUOTE]
