  1. Proxmox 4.4-24 to 5.x upgrade gone wrong...

OK, the other two upgraded just as they should - so, not sure what the heck happened with the first one... But all good now. Waiting a bit to ensure things are stable & healthy before I try a 5.x->6.x upgrade.
  2. Proxmox 4.4-24 to 5.x upgrade gone wrong...

Thanks, Fabian -- that did the trick. The server is back up & healthy :) Now I have the other two servers in the cluster to upgrade -- what must I do to prevent the same issue on those?
  3. Proxmox 4.4-24 to 5.x upgrade gone wrong...

    Also, if helpful: root@proxmox-node-01:~# grep -R http /etc/apt/* /etc/apt/sources.list:deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian stretch main contrib /etc/apt/sources.list:deb http://security.debian.org stretch/updates main contrib /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pve-no-subscription.list:deb...
  4. Proxmox 4.4-24 to 5.x upgrade gone wrong...

So sorry for the late reply -- please see output below: root@proxmox-node-01:~# apt update Get:1 http://security.debian.org stretch/updates InRelease [53.0 kB] Ign:2 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian stretch InRelease Hit:3 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian stretch Release Hit:4...
  5. Proxmox 4.4-24 to 5.x upgrade gone wrong...

Hi all, Tried to follow the instructions at https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Upgrade_from_4.x_to_5.0 to upgrade the first node of my 3-node cluster from 4.4-24 to version 5.x. This seems to have gone badly wrong, because when I finished and rebooted, no pve* commands are available, and no pve*...
  6. Import non-PVE-created LXC container into PVE 5.2

Perhaps you missed this, but... Here's what I ended up doing, seems like it may have worked... 1) On the source LXC system, I backed up the desired containers "rootfs" contents to a tarball via: root@oldlxchost:/tmp# find /var/lib/lxc/my_old_container/rootfs -printf "%P\n" | tar -czf...
  7. Import non-PVE-created LXC container into PVE 5.2

Hi all, I have a number of LXC containers that were created on Ubuntu 14.04 (LXC ver 1.0.7) that I would like to import into PVE 5.2. I have seen/read this post: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/how-to-migrate-a-regular-lxc-container-to-a-proxmox-lxc-container.24138 but even after reading...
  8. Planning PoC Proxmox cluster, need advice...

No problem :) Sounds like good advice for if/when I go ahead with more production-grade gear, but for now, i'm stuck with the servers I have on hand (as detailed above)... I have only 4 x 1Gbps NICs available; one has been used for the "management interface" of each PVE node, so that leaves 3...
  9. Planning PoC Proxmox cluster, need advice...

Yes, I think I quoted that URL above in my post...
  10. Planning PoC Proxmox cluster, need advice...

Hi all, Our company is looking for a way to provide VMs and LXC containers to our research staff, and Proxmox looks like it may just be the perfect fit... So I am tasked with taking some spare servers and spinning up a PoC. This rig doesn't have to be very performant, just good enough to...
