How fast is your backup datastore? Benchmark tool

Thanks for your help. But I have reasons to do it with LUKS.

How fast is your backup datastore? Benchmark tool

I use the target disk for more than pbs 1. The disk is used as rsync target for backups that run to long to do it with pbs. These data needs to be crypted too. 2. The disk is datastore for the emergency pve installed parallel to the pbs, thats the reason for zfs instead of lvm. 3. I see problems...

How fast is your backup datastore? Benchmark tool

No, as far as I know is zfs not full crypted, some data stay uncrypted. So I do not use the crypt part of zfs.

How fast is your backup datastore? Benchmark tool

Not fast, but working: Supermicro X11SBA-LN4F, Intel N3700, 16GB, WD RED Pro 14 TB, PBS Datastore ZFS on luks Uploaded 52 chunks in 5 seconds. Time per request: 111703 microseconds. TLS speed: 37.55 MB/s SHA256 speed: 243.08 MB/s Compression speed: 221.92 MB/s Decompress speed: 291.81 MB/s...

    Migrate backup to another datastore

Create a new namespace "ext4new" on the new target store "zfs". Configure and start a sync between the old backupstore "ext4" and the new backupstore "zfs" into the new namespace "ext4new". You can do the normal backups to the old store "ext4" during the time of sync to "zfs/ext4new". When ready...

PVE Ceph Rules for HDD Pools of Different Sizes

Thanks for the info about reboot. I never tried a reboot. I added it to my raw documentation. By the way: maybe it is better to name it "hdd2pool" instead of "hddpool2". You have a more consistent naming convention.

PVE Ceph Rules for HDD Pools of Different Sizes

The answer is correct, but ssd and hdd are not the only possible names for disktypes! I tested this a while ago but never used in production. Take a look at the raw write down. Its not complete or 100% correct and contains other things too. But it gives an idea how it works. Looks like creating...

Microsoft Deployment Toolkit - PXE Bootreihenfolge?

Würde mal die Red Hat Lösung probieren: modprobe virtio_scsi dracut -f Afterwards the switch to VirtIO SCSI and booting the vm worked. Learned from that I prepared my vms with yum install qemu-guest-agent yum remove open-vm-tools dracut --force --add-drivers "virtio_balloon virtio_scsi...

Support for CephFS via NFS (NFS-Ganesha)

@alexskysilk Thank you for the link. You shall not debug my systems or google for me. I just told about my problems and hoped that somebody had the same problems solved already. Sometimes you get an answer, sometimes not. Call it smalltalk.

Support for CephFS via NFS (NFS-Ganesha)

I tried this on the actual proxmox version with a direct installation. Do you have examples for /etc/ganesha/ceph.conf and /etc/ganesha/ganesha.conf? VFS does not work, there is a lib error dlopen, but file exists. An how is ganesha accessed? Cluster-IP, multipath mount?

    LVM pve/data defekt

LV VG Attr LSize Pool Origin Data% Meta% Move Log Cpy%Sync Convert data...

    [SOLVED] Windows Server 2022 virtio
