    [SOLVED] i5-4440 / HD 4600 passthrough, code 43

Okay I got it working, but not sure if I'm going to be much help since I went the UEFI/OVMF route rather than bios/legacy route. What finally got it working for me was booting the host with no monitors attached for some reason. Not sure if it's specific to my hardware. My host itself does not...

    [SOLVED] i5-4440 / HD 4600 passthrough, code 43

Just want to add I have this exact same problem. VM boots, passthrough seems to work, Intel UHD 630 appears in device manager, code 43. No matter what I do. The worst part is I had it working only a week ago. Had to take my machine apart for maintenance, but when I put it back together, code...

Ceph OSD down intermittently since PVE6/Nautilus upgrade

Thanks Alwin. Do you recommend I run the memtest on boot that comes with PVE or some other utility to diagnose the memory?

Ceph OSD down intermittently since PVE6/Nautilus upgrade

Okay updated the BIOS last night, but had another crash this morning, and it looks like the same issue. Any ideas?

Ceph OSD down intermittently since PVE6/Nautilus upgrade

Okay I just had two crashes back to back, attached are excerpts from both crash logs. It appears the issue is "general protection fault". I suspect you'll tell me to update my BIOS as the next step, so I'll do that tonight. But please let me know if you there is anything else I should do from...

Ceph OSD down intermittently since PVE6/Nautilus upgrade

Thanks Alwin. Disk SMART data suggests it's healthy, so I've recreated the OSD and it's currently rebuilding, so far so good. Meanwhile, I did have another lockup since the OSD was rebuilding. I'm beginning to suspect the frequency of the system lockups caused the OSD corruption in the first...

    40gbs Mellanox Infinityband

If your card is infiniband only then this won't work, but you may be able to flash different firmware on your device. I'm not an expert on that though. The command to change ports to ethernet mode works if you have a MCX354A-FCBT.

Ceph OSD down intermittently since PVE6/Nautilus upgrade

Would it be safe to destroy and recreate the osd in question? If so, could you point me to a procedure to do so?

Ceph OSD down intermittently since PVE6/Nautilus upgrade

Okay bear with me if this sounds extremely basic, but how do I interpret the kernel panic screen dump? Additionally, how can I capture the text? When I experience a kernel panic on that node, the machine locks up and needs to be reset, so I'm not sure how to save that text to analyze later. In...

    40gbs Mellanox Infinityband

I run these same network cards in my pve cluster. I actually have 4 of them (MCX354A-FCBT). You should download the mellanox firmware tool instead of the drivers from their website, then you can permanently configure the card to set it to Ethernet only...

Ceph OSD down intermittently since PVE6/Nautilus upgrade

I have a small 3 node pve cluster running ceph that i recently upgraded to PVE6 and Ceph Nautilus. However, since upgrading, one OSD on one of the nodes keeps going down. The node that it is on is also experiencing intermittent kernel panics (not sure if related). pveversion -v proxmox-ve...

[SOLVED] VLAN aware bridge in Proxmox 6

Not sure if it's because I'm doing something wrong, but since upgrading to version 6 my server won't connect to my network. I've got a single physical interface that carries 2 tagged vlans to my switch. Following the example in the wiki for VLAN aware Linux bridge (without OVS) my...
